~Cats were very important to the ancient Egyptians and were even considered to be demi-deities. Not only did they protect the crops and slow the spread of disease by killing rodents, they were also thought to be the physical form of the goddess Bastet. Bastet was the goddess of protection, pleasure, and the bringer of good health. She had the head of a cat and a slender female body.

~This Bastet journal cover is hand sculpted from polymer clay and accented with pearl powders and acrylics. She has a glass eye, glass beads for her necklace and hair jewelry, and metal key and eye trinket decoration. The entire piece is sealed in satin varnish and made with love. It is securely affixed to the cover of the journal itself.

~The journal itself is 8 1/4 inches tall by 5 3/4 inches wide.

~Bring Bastet in all her Goddess Glory home today for a special one of a kind journaling experience.

~Pen and cabochons not included.
