Medusa's story is a cautionary tale about the dangers of male aggression, divine power imbalances, and how victims can be blamed for the actions of their abusers. While often portrayed as a monster, her original myth highlights her as a victim of SA and divine injustice.

I hand sculpted this Medusa portrait from polymer clay and colored her in with Pearlex micah powders.
She has leaded crystal gems for eyes, real metal earrings and piercings, a glass gem piercing, and the large snakes have glass gem eyes. She is securely affixed to the glass in the strong metal frame.
